Four Clinics with affiliated institutes and services comprise a leading center of competence, both nationally and internationally, which is setting sustained standards for the treatment of cardiac, vascular and diabetic diseases. As the University hospital of the Ruhr-University of Bochum, we also make a significant contribution to research and teaching. We possess a Center for Clinical Research and Development which is responsible for commuting clinical theory to innovational practice. As the host of numerous seminars, symposia, as well as national and international congresses, we exchange ideas at the highest scientific level: a transfer of expertise which ultimately benefits the individual patient.
In a setting of natural beauty, away from the hustle and bustle of city life, we have developed to become the largest heart and diabetes center worldwide.
