 Since
1989 and as part of the Bochum model, the Heart and Diabetes Center NRW
has been a University hospital of the Ruhr University of Bochum.
This cooperation permits the teaching of students, as well as the writing
of doctorate and postdoctorate theses. There are many opportunities for
interdisciplinary research groups and thus for promoting the progress of
clinical research.
